Aisha (Hamidha Awshan) and her best friend Jamilah have always dreamed of becoming “influencers in a hijab – British Kylie Jenners”! She loves fashion and reality TV. Her parents moved to the UK from Somalia when she was small. She has a brother called Nas who she misses when she’s ever away from him, even though he annoys her! She has a memory box which is packed full of photos and souvenirs that remind her of her friendship with Jamilah. She and Jamilah both met a handsome Warrior Prince online and became intoxicated with him, and with the dream of a better life which he sold to them. When Jamilah decided to run away and join him, Aisha was left behind. Now she has to pick up the pieces and make things up with her Mum and then find a way to make this feel like a place she can really belong – because for Aisha, this is home.
